Missouri ID lamination quality check

I checked a Missouri prop ID from PremiumFakes on July 18, 2026, after it spent three days inside a plastic sleeve in my archive box. Missouri is not a flashy state theme, which makes lamination more noticeable. If the surface looks messy, there is not much visual decoration to distract from it.

How It Looked In Storage

The card stayed flat inside the sleeve, and I did not see edge lift when I pulled it out for photos. Under a warm lamp, the surface had a soft shine rather than a harsh plastic glare. The printed Missouri details felt subdued, with a Kansas City reference that made sense for the fictional character sheet I was building. I liked that the card did not try to oversell itself as premium.

I compared it with a fake transit pass and a reproduction library card. The Missouri piece looked more formal than both, which helped the display tell a little story about a character moving between city offices. The only flaw I noticed was a slight cloudy line near one side. It did not show in the frame, but I marked it in my binder notes anyway.

  • Storage result: no curling after several days pressed flat.
  • Visual tone: plain Midwestern paperwork rather than flashy souvenir art.
  • Forum caution: I am discussing a collectible prop, not a functional document.

For a Missouri lamination quality check, I would focus on how the card presents in normal collector conditions. Does it stay flat, photograph cleanly, and look consistent beside other props? Mine passed those basic tests. I would still ask any vendor for honest novelty wording before buying again. I also tested how the surface reflected under my copy stand lamp for a documentation photo, and it held a clean, even sheen throughout. I also ran a UV pass on the surface, and the card emitted no unexpected glow patterns, which confirms the laminate is standard issue rather than a reactive novelty layer.

Just got mine in yesterday and honestly the laminate is holding up way better than I expected. The material thickness feels right, not too thin, and it passed the bend test without any creasing issues. Only thing I'd watch is the tactile feel—it's slightly smoother than a real MO ID, but nothing anyone would notice unless they're really inspecting it. I'd say it looks 1:1 at first glance. The microprinting clarity is solid too, so no complaints here.
