My Massachusetts experience so far
Yeah, same here — owned mine just over 4 months and it's still going strong. The material thickness and overall build quality really make it pass the bend test without any issues. That authentic tactile feel is what sold me. No flimsy nonsense. And honestly, the looks are just about 1:1 from what I’ve seen around. Only gripe? Check your microprinting clarity under a blacklight if you get into a deep inspection scenario. Other than that, no complaints.
I've had mine about the same time and honestly it's still solid. The material thickness is spot on—passes the bend test every time without feeling flimsy at all. The tactile feel is surprisingly close to a real one too. Only thing I'd say is check your microprinting clarity up close; mine's good but worth verifying if you haven't already. For the price you really can’t beat it.
Been using mine for about 4 months now, and honestly I’m still surprised at how well it’s holding up. I’ve taken it through the usual paces – bars, gas stations, even a couple of more scrutinized spots – and it’s still in perfect shape with no peeling, delamination, or edge wear. So here's how it's been so far.
First thing I noticed was the weight and flexibility. It's got that slightly stiff but not brittle PVC feel that matches the real Massachusetts licenses I’ve handled. No weird tackiness, no overly glossy finish. The lamination is consistent and hasn’t started lifting at the corners, even after being in a wallet that gets sat on or tossed around. It bends just enough to pass the casual flex test, and the surface texture feels correct – not too smooth, not too rough.
Microprint wise, under a 10x loupe I can see the tiny text in the background lines and around the birth date. It’s crisp, no smudging or broken letters, though if I look really closely the spacing is ever so slightly off compared to a real example I have from a friend. But honestly, like, nobody at a bar is pulling out a loupe. The microprint along the state seal and the line under the photo looks clean at arm’s length. I never had anyone comment on it.
UV was a big concern for me because MA IDs have a lot of UV elements. Under a standard blacklight, the state outline and the “Massachusetts” text glow a bright, consistent blue – not too dim, not blindingly bright. The little stars and the circle pattern around the photo show up clear, and the color matches the real ones I’ve seen (that sort of medium blue-green). The brightness level is spot on; it doesn’t look like someone painted it with a highlighter. No weird patches or uneven glow. The back of the ID also has a UV pattern that shows up as expected.
The OVI on the front – that oval with the state silhouette – shifts from gold-green to copper-bronze depending on the angle. It’s not as dramatic as the real deal, where the shift is very obvious, but tbh it's close enough that a bartender glancing at it won’t notice. Under direct light it looks fine, but if you tilt it slowly you can see the transition isn’t perfectly smooth. Still, 95% of the time it passes. The color range is correct, just a tiny bit less contrast than a genuine card.
So all things considered, I'd give this a solid 8 out of 10. The durability after 4 months is excellent, UV is on point, microprint is good but not flawless, and the OVI is acceptable. Nothing's perfect, but for the time I've had it, I can't complain. Definitely not a cheap rush job – feels like someone actually cared about the details. If the OVI were a bit stronger, it'd be a 9.
Compared it to a real one, honestly couldnt tell the difference
Its really good actually. Feels authentic and bends without cracking
PA is one of my favorites. The material is spot on
How is the PA polycarbonate material? I know its different from the PVC states
