New York vs New Jersey - Which is easier to use out of state?
I'm deciding between getting a New York or New Jersey fake ID. I live in California and go to school in Arizona, so I'll be using it out of state.
**From what I've researched:**
**NEW YORK:**
- ✅ Very common to see out of state
- ✅ Detailed template means harder to scrutinize casually
- ❌ Complex features, expensive fakes needed
- ❌ Bouncers are very familiar with it
**NEW JERSEY:**
- ✅ Common enough to not be suspicious
- ✅ Simpler design, cheaper to fake well
- ✅ Less known features = bouncers less likely to deep inspect
- ❌ Not as "prestigious" looking
**My concerns:**
- Will a NY ID from California raise eyebrows?
- Is NJ too plain/simple looking to be convincing?
- Which state do bouncers catch more often?
**Vendors I'm considering:**
- OldIronsidesFakes (both states available)
- IDGod (both states available)
What would you choose and why? Any experiences using these states out of state?

New York gets scrutinized way more. Every bouncer has seen hundreds of fake NY IDs. Go with NJ - it's less suspicious and easier to get right. Plus the simpler design means less that can go wrong.

Either works honestly. I have both and use them in different situations. NY for upscale places where the fancy design fits in. NJ for casual bars where I just want to blend in. If you can only get one, get NJ from OISF.

I use a New Jersey ID in Texas and it's been flawless. Bouncers barely look at it because NJ isn't one of the "commonly faked" states like California or New York. It's the sleeper pick.
