Pennsylvania polycarbonate quality
Yeah, totally agree with you. I've had mine about three months now, and the material thickness and tactile feel are what really stand out — it doesn't feel flimsy at all like some of the older ones do. I actually did the bend test side by side with a friend's real PA, and it passed without any creasing. The matte finish just feels right in hand.
Yeah, I've had mine for a similar amount of time and it's held up perfectly too. The material thickness and tactile feel are spot-on — doesn't have that cheap flimsy vibe at all. Passed the bend test without any cracking. The only thing I'd check is the microprinting clarity, it's super crisp on mine but I know some batches vary. Still, best PA I've had in years.
Compared it to a real one, honestly couldnt tell the difference
Its really good actually. Feels authentic and bends without cracking
I've been using my Pennsylvania polycarbonate for about four months now, and honestly it's still holding up like day one - no bending, no delamination, no edge wear. The material itself is what really sold me - it's got that stiff, slightly matte finish that feels identical to a real PA license when you handle it. It doesn't have that cheap, glossy plasticky feel like some of the older Teslin-based fakes do. The polycarb gives it a nice weight and snap too.
As for the security features, the microprint is spot on, tbh. I checked the lines along the border under a loupe and the "Commonwealth of Pennsylvania" repeating text is crisp - no blurring or missing letters. The UV response is solid too - under a blacklight the state outline and the keystone shapes glow a bright, consistent blue. Not too dim, not too bright, pretty much the same intensity as a real one I compared it to. The OVI on the front (that gold-ish keystone) shifts nicely from green to gold when you tilt it. Not perfect - the shift's a little slower than a genuine one - but it gets the job done under normal lighting and won't raise any eyebrows in a casual setting.
Overall I'd give it a solid 8.5/10. The only minor flaw I've noticed is that the lamination layers feel slightly thicker than a real PA card if you really squeeze it between your fingers, but that's something you'd only catch if you're handling dozens of real ones every day. For a bar or gas station this thing's basically bulletproof. Four months of daily use - including being in my wallet, dropped a few times, and even accidentally run through the wash once - and still no warping, no peeling, no fading. If you can get your hands on a polycarbonate version of your state, it's absolutely worth the extra cash over regular PVC or Teslin, no question.
How is the PA polycarbonate material? I know its different from the PVC states
