How is the PA polycarbonate material? I know its different from the PVC states

So I finally got my hands on the Pennsylvania polycarbonate and thought I'd share an update since a lot of people have been asking. Honestly, it's really impressive. The card material feels spot on – it's got that slightly rigid but flexible polycarbonate feel like the real ones. When you bend it, it gives just enough without any creaking or cracking like you'd get from cheaper PVC or Teslin builds. The weight's also pretty much identical to a real PA, which matters because a lot of repros feel too light or flimsy. This one has that dense, solid heft in your hand.

I looked pretty closely at the microprint under a loupe. The "The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania" text around the keystone is crisp and readable – no blurring or ink bleeding. The smaller microprint in the background patterns (the circular lines near the photo area) is also clear and doesn't have any of those telltale broken lines you see on lower quality versions. I'd say the microprint accuracy is about as good as it gets for a rep – it easily passes a casual glance and even a closer inspection if you're not comparing side by side with a real one.

The UV light response is where things get interesting. Under a standard blacklight, the state seal and keystone pattern both light up nicely. The color is a bright, almost neon yellow-green, which matches the real PA UV reaction. The brightness is consistent across the whole design – no weird hot spots or dim patches. The best part is how subtle it is – it doesn't glow so intensely that it looks fake, but it's definitely visible enough to pass a UV check at a bar or club. The overall glow fades quickly once you remove the light, which is another good sign.

As for the OVI (optically variable ink), the color-shifting element on the back – the little keystone and the "Keystone State" text – shifts from a pale gold to a deep green when you tilt it. The color change is smooth and has that metallic sheen you'd expect. It's not as dramatic as some other states' OVI, but for PA it's accurate. The shift angle is about 45 degrees, and there's no rainbow effect or weird artifact colors. Tbh, it just looks like the real deal.

Card material feel gets an A+. It bends without cracking, the edges are laser-cut clean, and the surface has that slightly slick, almost waxy texture that real polycarbonate IDs have. The lamination is seamless – no bubbles or edge lifting. Overall, I'd give this one a solid 9.5 out of 10. The only reason it's not a perfect 10 is that no rep is ever 100% identical under a UV microscope, but for practical use it's fantastic. Definitely a top-tier option right now.
