Washington fake id review EvolvedIDs
I’ve got one of these in the WA version. Gotta say, the microprinting clarity genuinely surprised me—crisp under magnification, not smudged at all. Material thickness feels close to the real thing, and mine passed the bend test without any weird creasing. Drop test sound is decent too, doesn’t have that hollow click you’d hear on flimsy cards. It’s not perfect if you’re hand-picking under a loupe, but for everyday bar scans, honestly solid. Cheers to EvolvedIDs for this one.

I picked up a Washington card from EvolvedIDs a few weeks ago, partly because WA is one of the harder state templates to get right and I wanted to see how their current production handles it. Short version: stronger on some elements than I expected, weaker on the hologram.
Background Imagery
Washington's DL design includes mountain imagery that runs as a subtle background across the card face. This is one of the areas where vendors struggle most — the gradient from the lighter sky zone to the darker mountain base needs to be handled at exactly the right opacity, or it either disappears or overwhelms the personal data. EvolvedIDs gets the gradient right. The background doesn't crowd the text and photo fields, and the mountain detail at the lower card edge is visible without being heavy. I've seen cheaper templates where this element either looks like a smudge or a poster.
Holographic Overlay
This is where EvolvedIDs' Washington card has the most visible gap. Washington's OVD has a state imagery pattern with defined zones, and the transitions between holographic zones on genuine cards are sharp. On the EvolvedIDs version, the edge definition between zones is softer — the transitions blur slightly rather than cutting cleanly. Under direct light comparison against a genuine WA card, this is noticeable. In isolation and under standard venue lighting, it reads as a normal hologram and won't be a problem for most scenarios.
UV Performance
Positive result here. The UV element on the EvolvedIDs WA card decoded correctly under 365nm light — present, evenly distributed, no obvious gap zones or fade areas. This was one of the stronger results I've tested from EvolvedIDs recently and was better than a PremiumFakes WA card I compared it against.
Barcode and Ghost Image
Tested on ID Analyzer, SCUID, and a generic PDF417 reader. All three decoded successfully on the first attempt with complete AAMVA field sets. The ghost image is placed in the correct position and shows appropriate contrast — not too faint, not competing with the main photo.
Card Stock
One issue: the unit I received measured 0.74mm rather than the standard 0.76mm. It's within practical use range but the card feels marginally thinner when handled. I've noticed this inconsistency from EvolvedIDs on previous orders — their lamination pressure appears to vary slightly across production batches.
