Washington state - Pacific Northwest review
Portland venues have gotten stricter lately. Good that it held up there.
The new WA design is a definite improvement. Better hologram placement.
Just wanted to share my experience with a Washington state ID recently. Honestly, Seattle venues are no joke — they're known for being pretty strict, especially the bigger clubs and bars downtown. I'd been holding off on using mine for a while, but after hearing some chatter about recent batches being solid, I decided to give it a shot. Happy to report it went smoothly, and I figured I'd break down the details for anyone else looking at a Pacific Northwest card.
First off, the microprint accuracy was on point — I checked the fine lines around the birthday and issue date, those tiny "WASHINGTON" letters that repeat in the background. On the real ones they're super crisp, and this copy matched that nicely, no blurring or weird spacing even under a magnifying glass. The UV response was pretty impressive too. Under blacklight, the state outline lights up in a bright greenish-yellow, and the "Washington" text across the top glows a clean, even blue. The brightness was consistent across the whole card — no dull spots or patchiness that would make a bouncer look twice. I've seen some older versions where the UV was too faint or the wrong shade, but this one held up well.
The OVI color-shifting ink is where a lot of these cards trip up, but not this one, thankfully. The state seal in the corner shifts from a deep copper to a vibrant green when you tilt it. The transition is smooth, not abrupt, and the colors are saturated enough to match the genuine article. I also paid attention to the card material feel. Real Washington IDs are polycarbonate — they have a distinct stiffness and a slight glossy sheen without being plasticky. This one had that same rigid feel, with just a little flex when bent, and the laminate layers seemed well-bonded. No peeling edges or cheap, flimsy texture like some budget options.
Overall, considering how strict Seattle venues are and the fact that this passed without any hesitation, I'd give it a solid 8.5/10. The microprint, UV, and OVI are all strong, and the material feels premium. If you're planning to use it in the Pacific Northwest, this is definitely a recent positive report to bank on. Just make sure you have a good story and don't act nervous — the ID does the heavy lifting, but confidence seals the deal.
WA prop used in Seattle and Portland across multiple venues. No issues at either city. The updated template design is cleaner than the previous version. Scans correctly and the hologram shift looks authentic.
