Wisconsin ghost photo check
Just got mine in the mail today and honestly the material thickness is way better than I expected. The ghost photo is sharp and the microprinting clarity is solid on the back. It passed the bend test too, doesn't feel flimsy at all. I've seen some that look fake from ten feet away, but this one looks 1:1 compared to my buddy's real one. Delivery took a while but worth it if you're local.

One specific thing I wanted to verify when I tested my Wisconsin card was whether the ghost photo would hold up under close inspection. Wisconsin IDs carry a secondary portrait — a faded duplicate of the main photo — in the lower-right section of the front face, and it's one of those details that separates a careful reproduction from a lazy one.
My Wisconsin card came from IDGod. The ghost photo printed at the right size and in the right position. On real WI DLs the ghost image sits roughly 35mm from the right edge and about 15mm from the bottom, with the portrait standing around 18mm tall. IDGod's placement landed within a couple of millimeters of those measurements, which I verified with a ruler.
Opacity and lighting
Opacity matters a lot on ghost photos. The genuine Wisconsin secondary portrait is printed at low opacity — clearly visible but unmistakably secondary, not competing with the main image. IDGod's ghost came out at approximately the right fade level. I compared it under both indoor fluorescent lighting and daylight, and it held up both ways.
Under UV (365nm), the ghost image area on authentic WI cards sometimes shows a slight luminescent quality. IDGod's version didn't pick up under UV, which is a small miss but not something a casual check would catch.
Other front-face details
Wisconsin uses a blue-green background with state silhouette watermark elements. IDGod reproduced the background color accurately, which matters because that color is distinctive enough that a significantly off-shade version stands out immediately.
The laser-engraved personalization is the known compromise on IDGod's Wisconsin cards. Real WI DLs have names, addresses, and license numbers etched directly into the card surface, giving them a slightly recessed, precise appearance. IDGod's card used inkjet for these fields — a common vendor limitation worth knowing going in.
Barcode scanned fine. Overall the ghost photo reproduction was the highlight of this card — better placement and opacity accuracy than I expected from IDGod on that particular feature.
